Who am I?
Hi, I’m Jacinta King – a passionate business consultant, clinical coach, and advocate for excellence in the cosmetic healthcare industry. My journey has been shaped by diverse experiences in leadership, clinical practice, and business, all of which have equipped me to empower professionals and drive positive change.
My leadership training began at just 17 when I joined the Air Force and attended ADFA for officer training. By the age of 25, I was leading a logistics team on a deployment to East Timor, developing the skills and resilience that have carried me through every stage of my career.
In healthcare, I built a strong foundation as an ICU nurse and After Hours Nurse Manager, where I gained invaluable experience in high-pressure environments. I later transitioned to a Senior Project Officer role, contributing to the building and clinical commissioning of a new tertiary hospital on the Sunshine Coast. My expertise in project management is bolstered by my Prince 2 Project Management Qualification, which allows me to bring structure, efficiency, and strategy to every project I undertake.
Entrepreneurship and business leadership are also key pillars of my career. I co-founded and ran a successful family surf company for 10 years before establishing a cosmetic clinic in 2016. That clinic grew to become a leader in its field, ultimately being sold to an ASX-listed company in 2019, where I continued to serve as their Director of Nursing. My entrepreneurial journey continued with the successful creation and sale of another family café business in 2022.
Since 2020, I have focused on mentoring and coaching cosmetic nurses across Australia, helping them grow their businesses, navigate compliance challenges, and excel in an ever-evolving industry. I am also proud to chair a monthly clinical governance committee and was the founding president of the Cosmetic Nurses Association (CNA), advocating for higher industry standards and clinical safety.
To stay grounded in patient care, I still treat clients in my clinic once a week. This balance between leadership, mentoring, and hands-on practice allows me to remain deeply connected to the realities of the industry while driving innovation and excellence.
Whether I’m guiding clinicians, managing projects, or treating clients, my ethos is clear: to lead with heart, inspire growth, and make a meaningful impact.
